In 1757, Beaumont Hankey and Hugh Bannister founded a spirits business in London, laying the foundations for the creation of Hankey Bannister blended whisky. The company received its first Royal Warrant in 1901 and was well-known in the first half of the 20th century as a supplier of wines and spirits.

Now owned by Inver House Distillers, Hankey Bannister's range of whiskies continue to impress whisky fans around the world – in 2009, Hankey Bannister 40yo picked up the World's Best Blended Scotch award at the World Whiskies Awards and in 2014, Hankey Bannister original was awarded Gold Outstanding at the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
