Founded by Irish refugees in 1825 on the outskirts of Glasgow, Auchentoshan is one of the longest serving distilleries in the Lowlands. It continued to operate through the shutdowns of its neighbours, and is leading the way now that more distilleries are opening in the region.
Unlike most other distilleries in Scotland, Auchentoshan exclusively uses triple distillation, creating a very light and delicate spirit. The distillery's range showcases this style, encompassing everything from the lighter end of the whisky spectrum to weighty, sherry-matured drams.
