Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Michter’s offers a range of highly acclaimed Ryes, Bourbons & American Whiskeys. The history of Michter’s traces back to 1753, when John Shenk founded a distillery in Pennsylvania.​

It wasn’t all plain sailing though. In 1989 the American whiskey industry suffered from a prolonged downturn and Michter’s then-owners declared bankruptcy, abandoning the Distillery’s assets & trademarks. It was revived when two whiskey lovers, Joseph J. Magliocco & Dick Newman, re-established Michter’s in Kentucky, the heart of the modern American whiskey industry.
