A pioneer in the industry, Chichibu is one of the few modern distilleries that has successfully built a formidable reputation in a very short time.

This has been helped by Ichiro Akuto’s family history in the drinks industry, spanning more than 400 years, and his connections to both Hanyu and Karuizawa distilleries, producers of some of the most coveted Japanese whiskies in recent memory. The hard work and perseverance of Ichiro and his team over the past 10 years, combined with their consistently carefully crafted, high-quality spirit, has made Chichibu one of the top whisky producers in Japan.

We are very excited to welcome Chichibu to this year’s show, offering guests a rare chance to taste the distillery’s wonderful whiskies.
