Bunnahabhain The most remote of Islay's distilleries, sitting on the north-east coast of the island at the end of a long-and-winding coastal road. Fortunately, the welcome at the end of the trail is worth the trip, and the distillery's whisky range tempts in more visitors every day.

Along with the traditionally unpeated whisky produced at the distillery, Bunnahabhain has long produced smoky spirit that was used for blending. However, in more recent years production has increased and a string of acclaimed releases have shown that there's a lot more to the distillery than meets the eye.
