Annabel Thomas founded Nc’nean back in 2013, with a mission to produce the most sustainable spirits the industry has to offer. After building the distillery from the ground up, Annabel and her small team started distilling over 4 years ago, filling their first cask in March 2017.
Creative and curious, they are not afraid to walk their own path. Nc’nean use only organic Scottish barley, in their distillery powered by only renewable energy, and bottle their first whisky in the industry’s first 100% recycled clear glass bottle.
Whilst they believe that maturation is critical, Nc’nean’s real passion is for the spirit which comes straight off the still. Their organic malted barley is mashed slowly, fermented slowly and distilled slowly, everything they do is to designed to achieve their trademark clean and fruity tasting spirit.
