Macbeth is a stunning Scotch Whisky collection representing 42 characters from Shakespeare's famous Scottish Play, to be released in 5 Acts over the coming years.
There are six series in the Macbeth collection, with each act offering a number of characters from each series: the Leads (5 regal malts), the Thanes (12 noble malts), the Ghosts (6 ghost distilleries), the Witches (3 malts and a blend), The Murderers (4 island malts), and the Household (10 characterful whiskies).
Each series comprises a carefully curated selection of fine Scotch Whiskies that will appeal to whisky lovers and collectors alike.
Act One, released this year, includes the refined stature and elegance of a single cask, 56-year-old Glen Grant cast as King Duncan, intensely smoky Islay and island whiskies for the Witches and Murderers, and the vanishing stocks of ghost distilleries that appear, naturally, as the Ghosts. These highly collectible limited editions all feature an illustration of the character drawn by Sir Quentin Blake and notes with the flavours woven into lyrical prose by whisky writer Dave Broom.
