Westland Distillery was established in Seattle, 2011 with a vision of creating American Single Malt whiskeys that reflect the beautiful colours of the Pacific Northwest.

Through our unique process, which focuses on honouring the discipline and pushing the boundaries of distilling single malt whiskey, we placed the American Single Malt category at the global forefront of contemporary whiskey production. 

Each bottle of whiskey filled at Westland represents one step forward in sharing the story of our place. Ten years have passed, and we have circled the topic of terroir again and again, each time sensing an opportunity to approach it from a new perspective. But always, we’re heading west.

In 2024, we officially achieved B Corp Status, demonstrating our unyielding responsible whiskey-making.
