Warenghem distillery was founded by Leon Warenghem in the early 1900s, but the current distillery dates back to the 1960s, when Leon's son and business partner Yves Leizour moved the company to Brittany. Armorik launched in 1987, a year after Warenghem's first whisky, a blend called WB, and has been in production ever since.

Both single malt and grain whisky is produced on site at Warenghem, giving the company full control over the character of its blends. However, in recent years, Armorik single malt has been increasingly in the spotlight, and master distiller David Roussier is leading the company into a new era.
