Throughout his career at Kirin group companies in Japan and the U.S.A., he acquired extensive knowledge and expertise in whisky, wine, and other alcoholic beverages by working at various parts of the value chain and academia.
He served as Director of Quality at Four Roses Distillery, Kentucky, for seven years from 2002. After returning to Japan in 2009, he was appointed Chief Blender for Fuji Gotemba Distillery in 2010, then as Master Blender in 2017, only the second person to hold that post in 50 years of its history. He was also appointed as an executive fellow in 2019.
He is now pouring his passion, skills, and experiences into the flagship whisky brand "FUJI" to encourage consumers worldwide to love the whisky.
