After training under Master Distiller Jack O'Shea at Pearse Lyons Carlow, he joined East London Liquor Company in 2014. creating and leading its award-winning whisky portfolio, including London Rye®, the city's first whisky in over 114 years. He later served as Head of Production at Silent Pool Distillers, driving sustainability and efficiency.
 
In 2023, Andy returned home to Drogheda as Head Blender at Boann Distillery, overseeing the award-winning Whistler range and Boann Pot Still Whiskies, including the Boann PX, which earned a Double Gold and 99 points at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2025.
