Tomintoul Distillery is located near to the village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
Established in 1965, Tomintoul Distillery uses traditional production techniques that stretch back hundreds of years, to craft our award-winning single malt. The area surrounding the distillery is one of astounding natural beauty and it’s this natural environment combined with the freshest of air and purest of water from the Ballantruan spring that all contribute to creating our uniquely smooth and mellow whisky, known as “the gentle dram”. All made under the watchful eye of Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, whose family has been making whisky in the Speyside region for four generations.
In Scottish Gaelic Tomintoul translates to "hill of the barn" and is pronounced "Tom-in-Towel".
