Chugoku Jozo has been making alcoholic drinks since 1918, but its only more recently that the company has broken into the whisky market.

The Togouchi range of blended whiskies are aged and blended in Japan, but are distilled overseas – they are mixture of Canadian grain whisky and Scottish malt. The whiskies are matured in the company's warehouses in Hatsukaichi, on the coast in Hiroshima prefecture, and in former train tunnels in the nearby village of Togouchi.

The whiskies vary from light, floral and delicate to weighty and bourbon-like, and we look forward to trying them at this year's show.
