Founded by former Suntory master distiller Masataka Taketsuru in 1934, Nikka are well-known around the world as Japan’s second-biggest producer. However, in recent years it has started to pick up accolades that are rapidly pushing it to international stardom ahead of its local rivals. With a range that includes everything from award-winning blends and blended malts to single malts from the company’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, the future is very bright for Nikka.
