Five generations of Glenfarclas’s whiskies.
Five generations of Glenfarclas’s whiskies.

While Glenfarclas was founded in 1836, it’s 29 years later that it enters its ‘modern’ era: on 8 June 1865, John Grant bought the distillery for the princely sum of £511 and 9 shillings.

Now, 161 years later, the distillery is run by another John Grant, the original’s great-great-great grandson. For five generations, the Grant family have made whisky and, in a way that only a family-owned company, have continued to look to the future.

In this tasting, we’ll be celebrating the five generations of Glenfarclas with five whiskies across five decades. If you’re a fan of richly sherried whiskies, this is a must.
