When ground was broken on a hillside in Speyside, the whisky industry was in a golden age and this distillery was going to be a its embodiment.

Tormore started distilling in 1959 and has been quietly producing whisky ever since without interruption. The intention was for the stills to produce whisky well suited to blending and their has been few official bottlings as a single malt.

However, new owners Elixir Distillers are starting to shake things up and this year has seen the launch of a new core range. We will be joined by Sukhinder Singh and Ollie Chilton to go into the history of this distillery and what plans they have for it. This tasting will take in a pair of whiskies showcasing the current style, two expressions revealing the historic side and two cask samples that will show the way ahead.
