Radico Khaitan, the mind behind Rampur whisky, is India’s oldest and biggest spirits producer. Its history dates to 1943 but it wasn’t until 1972, when the Khaiten family purchased the distillery, that it enjoyed great success.
In April this year, the distillery released its first single-malt whisky to add to its collection of blended whiskies. The distillery is named after its home town, located in northern India, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Due to its location, it experiences a higher climatic contrast between the seasons, which has a significant effect on maturation and adds to Rampur’s uniqueness. Its mission is to consistently deliver a timeless and quality whisky, and we are excited to have it for the first time at the show.
